Zombie Tsunami promotional artwork showing a crowd of cartoon characters running through a city street

Zombie Tsunami is Mobigame’s endless runner for phones, and the pull is simple: you lead a crowd, the crowd gets bigger as you run, and a clean line through traffic feels great. The app wraps that in missions, characters and power-ups. We wanted the crowd on its own, so we built Blob Wave, a small 3D street runner that plays right here on this page. It is free, there is nothing to install, and there is no signup.

How to play

You lead a wave of googly-eyed jelly blobs down a busy street. The wave runs forward on its own and speeds up as you go, so all you do is steer and hop. On a phone, drag anywhere on the street view, use the LEFT and RIGHT buttons, and tap to jump. On desktop, use the arrow keys or A and D, press Space to hop, and press R to restart.

Sweep up the wandering townsfolk to add blobs to your crowd. Cars, dumpsters and market stalls are solid, and a bump scatters a handful of blobs. Low barriers and planters can be hopped, and every row of obstacles always has a gap you can steer through. A round lasts about a minute and a half, ending at the finish arch or when the last blob is gone.

The street is built from today’s date, so everyone runs the same layout and a new one arrives tomorrow. Your best score and day streak stay on your device. Nothing leaves your browser.

How it compares to Zombie Tsunami

Blob Wave keeps what we think carries the original: a crowd that grows as you run, a speed that keeps climbing, and obstacles that cost you part of the crowd rather than ending the run outright. A round is short, restarting takes one tap, and the first twenty seconds are empty on purpose so you can learn the steering. The daily street gives you a reason to come back that the original handles with missions.

We left a lot out. There are no characters to unlock, no power-ups, no missions, no upgrades and no in-app purchases. The setting is also gentler: our blobs are friendly jelly, and the crowd collects confused townsfolk rather than converting anyone. The physics is an arcade sketch, and we are not claiming it matches how Mobigame tuned its game.

If you are on your tenth run here, the real app is the better next stop. Zombie Tsunami has a long list of characters, power-ups and goals that keep a run interesting for months. Blob Wave is the warm-up, and the app is the full game.

Frequently asked questions

Can I play Zombie Tsunami in a browser?

Zombie Tsunami is a native mobile app, and we are not aware of an official browser version. Blob Wave, the game on this page, is our own original runner built around the same grow-the-crowd idea, and it runs in any modern browser on a phone or desktop. For the real game, with its characters and power-ups, you need the app.

Is this the real Zombie Tsunami?

No. Blob Wave is an original game we built, inspired by the crowd-running loop of Zombie Tsunami. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Mobigame in any way. The blobs, street, sounds and code are all our own, and the download links above point to the official app.

Is it free?

Yes. There are no ads, no purchases, no accounts and no data collection. Your best score and streak live in your browser’s local storage and are never sent anywhere.

Does it work offline?

Once the page has loaded, Blob Wave makes no further network requests, so it keeps running if your connection drops. Zombie Tsunami itself needs a download first.

Why is the street the same for everyone today?

The layout, scenery and sky are generated from today’s date, so every player runs the same street and scores are comparable. A new one arrives at midnight. We check that every generated street has a clear path through each row of obstacles before it can be used.
