Vector turned rooftop chases into a rhythm game: a silhouette runner sprints across a city skyline, and every wall, gap and ledge asks for one move at exactly the right instant. The mobile version wraps that loop in an install, a permissions prompt and an ad every few runs. We wanted the pure timing loop without any of that, so we built Rooftop Dash, a small original parkour runner you can play right now, free, with nothing to install.

How to play
Tap or press space to jump a gap. Swipe down, or press the down arrow or S, to slide under a beam. Swipe up, double-tap, or double-press space quickly to vault a crate. When you hit a wall, hold your finger down (or hold space) to wall-run across it. Let go too early and you’ll drop straight into it.
On a keyboard, space or the up arrow jumps; holding either near a wall wall-runs; down arrow or S slides. Your runner speeds up the longer you last, and every obstacle only ever needs the right move done at the right time, never luck. Today’s rooftop layout is the same for everyone, and it’s always possible to clear from start to finish. Your best distance and daily streak are saved on your device only. Nothing leaves your browser.
How it compares to Vector
Rooftop Dash keeps the part of Vector we actually load the game for: a silhouette figure reading a skyline at a glance and committing to jump, vault, slide or wall-run in a fraction of a second. The four core moves are here, the difficulty ramps the same way from an easy opening stretch into a fast, unforgiving sprint, and a miss always reads as a timing mistake rather than bad luck. The runner, the rooftops and every obstacle are our own canvas drawing, not anything pulled from the original.
Everything Vector built on top of that loop is gone. There’s no level select, no story mode chase sequences, no character skins to unlock, no ad breaks between attempts. Vector is a full mobile game with dozens of hand-built levels and a chase narrative running through them; Rooftop Dash is a two-minute browser toy with one endless route that gets harder the longer you survive, because that’s the loop we actually wanted back.

Not officially. Nekki ships Vector as a native mobile app, not a browser game. Rooftop Dash is our own lightweight parkour runner built around the same jump, vault, slide and wall-run timing, so you get that reflex feeling instantly with nothing to install.
Is this the real Vector?
No. Rooftop Dash is an original game we built, inspired by free-running arcade runners in general. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Nekki or Vector in any way, and it contains no characters, levels, or assets from the original. Does Rooftop Dash have levels or a story mode?
No. There’s one endless rooftop route that speeds up the longer you last, plus a daily challenge that lays out the same route for everyone. It exists to give you a reason to come back, not to sell you anything.
Does it work offline?
Yes. Once the page has loaded, the game makes no network requests at all. Your best distance, streak, and sound preference are stored on your device with localStorage, so they survive a reload and never get sent anywhere.
