Head Ball 2 promotional artwork showing two big-headed characters battling over a ball

Head Ball 2 by Masomo Gaming turned a single idea into a genre: two big-headed characters, one ball, one small arena, and nothing to think about except timing your next jump. That’s exactly what people search for when they want to play something similar without installing an app. So we built Noggin Duel, an original head-and-ball arcade duel in the same spirit that runs right here on this page. Free, no install, no signup. Jump into the ball, time your header, and try to beat today’s opponent before the clock runs out.

How to play

Each match is a quick 1v1: first to 5 goals wins, or whoever leads when the 60-second clock hits zero. Move left and right with the arrow keys or the on-screen buttons, jump with Space or the Jump button, and hold the Kick button to charge a stronger strike, then release to fire it toward the goal. Jumping into the ball while it’s above your chest turns the touch into a header, which carries more power than a body bounce.

Every day brings a new opponent with their own name and skill level, plus a light daily breeze that nudges the ball’s flight. Beat today’s opponent and your win streak grows. Your best single-match score and your streak are saved on your device. Nothing leaves your browser.

How it compares to Head Ball 2

Noggin Duel keeps the part of Head Ball 2 that makes it so easy to pick up: the jump-and-header duel in a tight arena where one clean touch decides the point. The timing skill translates directly. Reading where the ball will drop, committing to a jump, and choosing between a soft header and a charged kick is the same decision loop you’re making in the real game, just distilled into a single round.

We left out a lot on purpose. There’s no character shop, no league or tournament ladder, no live multiplayer against real opponents, and no power-ups or special abilities to unlock. Head Ball 2 is built around progression and competing against other players online, and a single-file browser game can’t recreate a live matchmaking pool or a cosmetics store, so we didn’t try. Noggin Duel is the pure mechanic, practice-sized.

If the timing here clicks with you, the full game is the natural next step. Head Ball 2 gives you real online opponents, unlockable characters and gear, seasonal events, and the tournament structure that turns a five-minute match into a genuine competitive scene. Our version is a warm-up. Masomo’s game is the real ladder.

Head Ball 2 is free on Android, quick to learn, and holds up as one of the more consistently popular head-soccer games because matches are short enough to play in a queue line. It runs well on modest phones and doesn’t ask for much storage.

Frequently asked questions

Can I play Head Ball 2 in a browser?

Masomo Gaming does not publish an official browser version of Head Ball 2. The game on this page, Noggin Duel, is our own original arcade duel built around the same jump-and-header loop, and it runs in any modern browser on phone or desktop with nothing to install. For the real Head Ball 2, including online matchmaking and unlockable characters, you need the app on Android.

Is this the real Head Ball 2?

No. Noggin Duel is an original game we built, inspired by the jump-and-header mechanics that made Head Ball 2 popular. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Masomo Gaming in any way. All art and sound in our version are original work, and the download link above points to the official app.

Is it free?

Completely. There are no ads, no in-app purchases, no accounts, and no data collection. Your best score and win streak are stored in your browser’s local storage and never sent anywhere.

Does it work offline?

Once the page has loaded, the game makes no further network requests, so it keeps working through connection drops. Head Ball 2 itself needs an internet connection for online matches against other players.

Is it single player?

Yes. Noggin Duel is built for solo play against a computer-controlled opponent that changes daily, so there’s no queue to wait in. Head Ball 2 is built around live matches against real opponents online. If you want the timing and header feel right now with nobody to wait for, that’s exactly the gap this page fills.
